Cyberpunk 2077 mods pass one billion downloads

Five years ago the Cyberpunk 2077 launch was remembered for a broken release, not for mods. By early 2026 the picture had flipped: user add-ons for the game passed one billion downloads on Nexus Mods.

Before that, the short list was The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Fallout: New Vegas. Cyberpunk 2077 is the fourth. The catalog now lists more than 19,000 mods for it.

The most common downloads are technical fixes, then visual packs, interface changes, new apartments, and clothes that let players shape V more precisely.

For a single-player RPG with a rough start, that is a story of its own: players keep building the city alongside the studio.
