Update 2.5 promised two-handed gunfire and implant customization

CD Projekt Red specified what goes into update 2.5 for the collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners season two. Besides the items already announced, the list includes cyberware customization, a play style with a weapon in each hand, and more besides.

The patch is still set for 22 October 2026. Tomorrow, 21 October, the studio will hold a REDstream to break down the changes. Social posts so far give a minimum, not a full patch note.

Two-handed gunfire and implant customization are the first concrete mechanics that can be separated from the general promise of series content. How deeply they sit in builds and perks is what the broadcast will show.

Until 22 October this is a direction, not a guide to a new Night City meta.
