A Crimson Desert disc will not start before 19 March

Pearl Abyss closed off an early start for physical copies of Crimson Desert. A disc bought before the date does not enter the game: the system asks the player to wait until 19 March 2026.

The box, according to the packaging, is not self-contained. It needs internet activation and a download of critical files. Without those, the disc does not start.

The missing data opens on the studio’s servers at the set hour. An early disc therefore does not mean an early playthrough, and it does not move the release date.
