Hardware Unboxed: Arc works, XeSS is still soft
Hardware Unboxed rechecked the PC version after patch 1.03: Crimson Desert now starts and draws a correct image on Intel Arc. Before that there were artifacts and an unstable frame.
XeSS is still weak: the image is soft, and the frame gain is smaller than expected. Indoor light is a little better. Ray-tracing noise has not gone. Ray Reconstruction partly suppresses it and cuts performance hard. DLSS 4.5 flickers less than at launch, but the channel still ranks it below DLSS 4.0.
The test’s conclusion: for now the best option is native resolution, because upscaling hurts texture sharpness.
