Ray reconstruction at 4K cuts the Crimson Desert frame rate in half
A fresh graphics-card test in Crimson Desert shows one setting dropping the frame rate by more than half. That setting is Reconstruction on Nvidia and Regeneration on AMD.
At 4K on maximum settings without it, an RTX 5090 delivers 73 frames. With reconstruction, 34. The charts show that drop on every card tested, not only the flagship.
The testers conclude that at native resolution the mode is close to useless and pulls aggressive upscaling with it if a playable rate is the goal. This note does not name another setting with the same multiplier.
