Crimson Desert had 238,211 people on Steam in the first hour

An hour after release, the Steam peak for Crimson Desert was 238,211 players. The game quickly rose among the popular titles on the store. On Twitch in the same hours it gathered hundreds of thousands of viewers.

Critic scores stayed more reserved than the player count: Metacritic around 78, and Pearl Abyss shares had already fallen against that background.

The note separates two signals. Audience interest in the first hour is high. Whether it holds is not visible from one hour.
