Black Tides closes the story of Naoe and Yasuke

The same evening Ubisoft laid out the rest of patch 1.1.11. From 16 June the download is free on every platform except Nintendo Switch 2, where it was promised later.

The Black Tides story arc adds nearly two hours and ends the tale of Naoe and Yasuke. It also draws a line to Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and to the wider series. Claws of Awaji is not required to enter. The main campaign is, along with the earlier story updates A Critical Encounter and A Puzzlement.

Domains sits beside that finale: five simulations with shifting modifiers, new gear, separate rewards, and secrets for players who have already pushed the main game. A new present-day rift is called Horizon. Ubisoft says it shows new threats, and the Eagle gives more detail on the mysterious Guide.

Undertow and Currents arrive in the Animus Hub with the patch. Both give Naoe and Yasuke outfits drawn from Black Flag. After Black Flag Resynced launches on 9 July, a return nod unlocks Shadows-inspired outfits for Edward Kenway.
