Patch 4.0 adds Hard Mode and an Orienteer pawn
Patch 4.0 for Dragon's Dogma 2 arrives on 9 October 2026 alongside Dark Arisen. It adds a Hard Mode difficulty, a way to start over while keeping the current save data, and a new pawn specialization, Orienteer.
Forgotten riftstones pay more: 90 rift crystals per interaction instead of 30. Players who already collected that reward get the difference the first time they launch after the update. Some armor gains heat properties. The notes also cover pawn, quest, and interface fixes.
PS5 Pro owners are promised official support for an enhanced PSSR mode. The Steam build gains FSR 3 frame generation and updated DLSS features.
Capcom posted the list on its update notice.
