Ron Perlman narrates the Dark Arisen launch trailer
Capcom has posted the launch trailer for Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, narrated by Ron Perlman, the actor known for Hellboy and Pacific Rim. It is on the Capcom USA channel: Welcome to Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.
The expansion opens on 9 October 2026. It adds its own story campaign and moves the action to a snowbound region, with new fights and new enemies in the footage.
The same day, Nintendo Switch 2 gets a complete edition. On that console the only version on sale is the one that already includes the extra content. On PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, Dark Arisen is a separate purchase.
Early aggregates quoted alongside the trailer are 86 out of 100 on OpenCritic and 84 on Metacritic. Reviews praise the region, the bosses, the music, and the story. Near the end, some writers flag repeating tasks, a thin enemy roster, and a grind for the best gear. The overall tone stays warm: the expansion is already being treated as one of the stronger parts of the sequel.
