Take-Two shuts down an unofficial Android port of GTA V

Paralympics Productions, the group behind unofficial native ports of Grand Theft Auto V for Android and Nintendo Switch, is shutting down after a claim from Take-Two. Lead M0jso said the team officially stops on 3 October and that the project will not be handed to another group.

They had already shown an experimental port on the original Switch and were building a separate Android version in parallel. That was not the Windows build running through Winlator. It was a compile for ARM, with a promise of steadier speed and proper touch controls. M0jso did not publish the legal paper. Asked directly, he answered sideways, but the project channel stated plainly that it was a demand to stop development.

He thinks going to court is close to pointless: the publisher's case is strong. The ports rested on leaked GTA V source, not on an engine rebuilt from scratch. The port's source will not be released. After the letter, that would have added further claims. An update that was supposed to raise the Android version's speed is cancelled too. It had been a few days from release.
