Hell is Us reaches one million players nearly a year after launch
On 5 August 2026, Nacon and Rogue Factor said Hell is Us had reached one million players across its platforms. The note came with a card: in front of a cave statue, the lines read 1 MILLION PLAYERS and THANK YOU! The game launched on 4 September 2025, so the mark landed nearly a year later.
Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, art director of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, had a hand in the game's look. A separate push came from the Xbox Game Pass catalogue in summer 2026. Alongside the million, the figures cited were about 85% positive reviews on Steam and a 78 from the specialist press. Players were still caught by the lack of a map and markers: places have to be remembered, not read off a minimap.
The same message still pointed at 8 October 2026 as the next date, the day then set for the Nintendo Switch 2 port.
