Hello Kitty Island Adventure has sold more than a million copies

On 20 November 2025 Sunblink said cumulative sales of Hello Kitty Island Adventure had passed one million copies, counting from the Nintendo Switch and PC launch on 30 January 2025.

The game began as an Apple Arcade exclusive on 28 July 2023. It later reached Switch and Steam, then PlayStation 5, and shortly before this update Nintendo Switch 2. A PS4 edition was still listed, though its status was unclear.

In March the studio had marked 500,000 copies after the Switch and PC start. By November the total had doubled as more platforms arrived and interest held.

Players and critics both took to it. The game was named Apple Arcade Game of the Year and won a Webby People's Voice Award. It was nominated for best mobile game at The Game Awards and the D.I.C.E. Awards. The loop is still crafting, island decorating, a large world to explore, quests, multiplayer challenges, and Sanrio friends.
