Insomniac announces the Fresh Start suit for Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Insomniac Games has promised a free content update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The headline addition is the Fresh Start Suit, built from the look in Marvel Studios and Sony's Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The patch is set for 28 July 2026. It lands the same day on PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

The film itself, with Tom Holland as Peter Parker, opens a little later: the worldwide premiere is 31 July 2026. This is a free add-on for the game that is already out, not a new release.
