CD Projekt has no plans for new Cyberpunk 2077 expansions

CD Projekt answered a social-media question about a secret new DLC: there are currently no plans for new expansions or extensions of Cyberpunk 2077. If that changes, the studio says it will announce it. The reply landed amid rumors of a hidden expansion for The Witcher 3 instead.

For some fans that is a disappointment. More than five years have passed since launch, and they now expect more Night City story in the next game. The studio had earlier noted that Cyberpunk 2 is at an earlier stage than The Witcher 4, and that a release might not come before 2030.

The Witcher rumor describes a possible new location with a desert mood in the spirit of Dune. CD Projekt has not officially confirmed that work.

For Cyberpunk 2077 the March 2026 formula is short: Phantom Liberty remains the only major story beyond the base game until the studio says otherwise.
