Six thousand Anime Expo viewers did not leak the first episode

From 2 to 5 July, a Trigger panel at Anime Expo 2026 gathered about 6,000 people and showed the first episode of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. Filming was banned. Against the usual speed of leaks, neither a screen recording nor a detailed retelling appeared online.

Satoru Homma, communications director of CD Projekt Red's Japan office, thanked the room in a post: the Los Angeles audience kept its word. Global PR director Radek Grabowski joined in thanking people who did not spoil the viewing for everyone else.

The season is still about new heroes on the streets of Night City, and it arrives in the autumn. For the studios, a closed screening of this size without a leak is rare.

Six thousand people turned out more reliable than the single phone that usually does the damage.
