Sztybor compared Edgerunners season two to Scorsese dramas

At Anime Expo 2026, Bartosz Sztybor asked viewers not to get too attached to the heroes of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners season two. If he compares season one to a Michael Bay-style action film, he compares season two to a heavy Martin Scorsese crime drama.

The warning lands against how season one treated David and his crew. The tone suggests the four new heroes will not be spared. The talk brought up a possible family link between Wick Kingsley and Talia of Maelstrom, and a hard fate for D and Roman.

CD Projekt Red producers thanked the room for not leaking the premiere episode from the closed screening. The Netflix premiere remains this autumn.
