A player named The Elder Lord earned the Elden Ring platinum trophy on PlayStation at the age of 74. Fewer than 11% of owners have that set. He wrote about it on Reddit.

All 42 trophies took him about 1,075 hours, and that count is PlayStation only. Several extra playthroughs on Xbox Series X are not included. In the post he stated his age outright and asked whether anyone else had done the same thing at 74.

The platinum is not one ending. It takes multiple finales, victories over Malenia, Dragonlord Placidusax, Commander Niall, Elemer of the Briar, and Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, plus legendary weapons, talismans, spirit ashes, sorceries, and incantations.

This is not his first long run. Back in 2022, at 72, he had already taken Elden Ring through NG+7, where enemies grow much stronger with every cycle. The replies were warm: one person called him a real Elden King, another wrote that stories like this keep an interest in games alive late in life.
