A Church of Marika turned up in Elden Ring set photos
The first photos believed to show sets for the Elden Ring film have surfaced. A24 is making it. Alex Garland, known for Annihilation and Civil War, is directing and writing.
The pictures were posted by an account called ThroxTV, thought to be in the United Kingdom. On a green field stands a structure that viewers almost immediately took for a Church of Marika: the silhouette and the statue match. The build looks solid enough that an AI fake is treated as unlikely. There was no official comment on the photos.
Nearby, people noticed a tall structure like the poles in Limgrave, where unfortunate bodies hang and scream in the game. For anyone who recognized the place from the opening hours, that is a tighter clue than a generic dark castle.
The film was announced last year. A24 and Bandai Namco are producing it. After the announcement the project went quiet, so the low-key shoot was met with enthusiasm. Some viewers are already lining the adaptation up with successful game films and mentioning Sonic 3.
