A Leyndell knight helm on set looks like a House of the Dragon prop

After the photos of Marika and the Dung Eater, streets of Leyndell turned up as well: guards, townspeople, a dense crowd. Looking through the props, viewers noticed a Leyndell knight helm with a long visor.

The base of the helm nearly matches a headpiece worn by a knight in the first episode of House of the Dragon. The prop seems to have been reworked, with a plume and ornaments added on top. Reusing old props is ordinary practice in film.

FromSoftware fans found their own joke in it. The studio has long been recognized for reusing animations, textures, and even whole enemies, from Demon's Souls through Elden Ring. A borrowed helm on set was read as the same habit, moved into a movie.

The teasing is mostly friendly. For many people the approach looks like a sign that the film is actually trying to hit the feel of the game, rather than assembling a generic fantasy. Jokes are already waiting for the ladder-climb animation and the familiar Tarnished walk.
