Tarnished Edition sits at 91% on Metacritic from 31 reviews

Months of delay left some people expecting a weak port of Elden Ring Tarnished Edition. By 26 August the Metacritic score is 91% from 31 reviews. Notes about graphics and frame rate are there, but the Switch 2 version is described overall as very solid.

The edition includes the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree without cut content. That caveat matters after the talk about what a handheld port would have to drop.

The channel ElAnalistaDeBits posted footage both docked and in handheld. Both modes are visible there before the game becomes available to everyone on 28 August.

A score of 91% does not erase individual frame drops. It says that the delay, which pushed the release off last year, looks justified to most of the reviewers.
