Insider puts Requiem’s story DLC at the end of 2027
After the expansion’s writer let a plot detail slip, insider Dusk Golem laid out his version of Capcom’s plans. He says the story add-on for Resident Evil Requiem will not arrive until the end of 2027. The project grew past the original brief, and even a veteran team needs the extra time.
The leak names studios M-Two and K2, the same groups behind Separate Ways for the Resident Evil 4 remake. It started as a short episode. After the ninth game’s success, Capcom raised the budget and the ambition. The running time being talked about is four to six hours, which matches a leak from the summer.
The same source says the story sends players back to the Spencer mansion in the Arklay mountains. That level was built for the main Requiem campaign, cut during polishing, and is now being rebuilt as its own tale. He also claims the already announced Code: Veronica remake and a new version of the first Resident Evil are in production alongside it, with both teams sharing one RE Engine mansion.
He ties the crowded schedule to a long gap without big spin-offs. In that telling, Capcom approved large expansions for Requiem and for the future Code: Veronica to hold fans between numbered games. Known leakers have refused to discuss Resident Evil 10 or rumors about Claire Redfield, and have called talk of a tenth entry baseless.
