The Abyss Without Balance puzzle was simplified on launch day

Pearl Abyss simplified a tutorial puzzle in Crimson Desert that journalists were getting stuck on. The quest Abyss Without Balance meets the player on the floating islands and introduces Axiom Power and Palm Power: debris has to be moved and a device activated. The earlier hint was the line “Activate the device.”

The launch-day patch added large spotlights that show the direction, and text that directly says to hang on the device. Critics tied the difficulty to awkward controls rather than to the logic, and they listed puzzles among the reasons scores landed below expectations.

The studio, which usually does not lead the player by the hand, gave way on this scene. This note does not say the patch rewrites the other puzzles of Pywel.
