Mahler and Buckley ask people not to read 78 as a verdict
After about 78 on Metacritic, Thomas Mahler of Moon Studios said that number is often read as “an average game,” though it does not always mean that. The bar, in his view, had been set at Elden Ring in advance. He asks that Pearl Abyss be given time to keep working, and he says the studio has ideas.
John Buckley of Pocketpair added that the same score is a different experience for different people. Both comments are a defense inside the argument, not a new trailer or a patch.
The aggregator figure in this note is the same one as in the morning roundups. What changes is who is commenting on it.
