Patch 1.01.00 started replacing the disputed paintings
Less than two weeks after release, patch 1.01.00 started removing images from Crimson Desert that players had recognized as generative. The studio had promised to replace them with artists’ work. The notes say some 2D assets were updated to the project’s style, without a direct line about neural networks.
Players have already found several new paintings that look drawn, not assembled by an algorithm. Some of the old ones, judging by frames, are still in place. The first replacements took about a week, which matches the claim that the placeholders reached the release by accident.
The note does not claim the audit is finished. It records that replacement has started.
