A patch renamed “fat cats” to “loafy cats”

In a fresh Crimson Desert patch, Pearl Abyss replaced the name “fat cats” with “loafy cats” in both the interface and the achievement journal. It is not a new species. It is a full rename.

The word loafy, judging by the choice, describes the pose where a cat tucks its paws and looks like a loaf. On Reddit people argue whether “fat” was removed out of caution. Some players think the new name is more accurate. The thread’s shared conclusion is not to remove the cats themselves.

The title “literally unplayable” in that discussion is a joke about the name, not a crash.
