Edgerunners 2 will be shown for the first time on 4 July at Anime Expo

The first public material from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is promised for the early morning of 4 July 2026 at Anime Expo in Los Angeles. The panel is titled Welcome back to Night City. Director Kai Ikarashi, showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, and executive producer Saya Elder will be there, plus guests who have not been named.

This is not a direct continuation of the first season's story. It is a new standalone line in the same city. The first season was complete, and the authors treat repeating its formula as a risk.

CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger are making the series again. The original once brought interest back to the game's world. The follow-up tests whether that momentum holds.

Details are still thin: a showing first, then a gradual reveal, and a Netflix premiere later.
