Almost two months on, 6.7% have finished the main line

Almost two months after release, 6.7 percent of players have finished Crimson Desert’s main storyline, by the note’s count. Most are still in the starting region of Hernand: castles, farms, forests, ports, quarries, hidden caves, 63 side quests and other quests. That one area often takes 40 to 70 hours or more.

Pearl Abyss estimates a focused main-line playthrough at 50 to 80 hours. With exploration and extra content it is 75 to 95 and up. A full completion in community discussion reaches 300 to 400 hours.

Reviews are still mostly positive, despite criticism of the story and the pace. On Steam the rating is “very positive,” about 83 to 86 percent positive depending on the counting window.
