Set photos show a young Marika and a living Leyndell

New photos from the A24 set push the film's story into the past. They suggest the movie takes place long before the game begins, when the Lands Between had not yet fallen.

The material shows a young Queen Marika played by Emma Laird, and a scene of the Dung Eater's execution. Leyndell is filmed in its prime: the city is inhabited and is not yet the ruin the player walks through.

Kit Connor was also spotted in armor that resembles the Confessor, one of the starting classes. If the likeness is deliberate, the film's hero sits closer to that look than to a nameless Tarnished in rags.

The premiere is still expected in March 2028. For now the photos matter more than the date: they are the first hint of which piece of the lore the film actually intends to tell.
