Patch 1.17.2 closed a bow trick that stacked status effects

FromSoftware released update 1.018.002, also known as version 1.17.2. The patch is on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Among other things it closes a trick where a particular way of firing a bow stacked status effects beyond the normal amount.

The picture was corrected as well. The character displayed wrongly if the Gold Tattoo chest piece was worn with the helmet hidden. A separate left-hand graphics error appeared when the repeating-crossbow skill was combined with Leontiel's Greatsword. Text in the credits was corrected. PS4 and PS5 also receive a change that strengthens the security of online features.

The patch does not bring a new story or new items. Older technical complaints remain: hitching and uneven frame times on PC, sudden crashes, and trouble connecting to co-op.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version has not received this update yet. The port stays on its own set of fixes, apart from 1.17.2 on the other platforms.
