Two weeks on, some players are still in Hernand

Almost two weeks after release, some Crimson Desert players write that they have not left the starting region. On Reddit one person counted 136 hours and was still in Hernand, about 13 hours a day if the post is taken literally. Some treat that as a joke, but the size of the first zone is confirmed without that figure. About three million copies sold in five days.

Jokes reduced the game to the title “Hernand”: the red desert, they suggest, can be “added in an expansion.” Will Powers answered with a cover where Crimson Desert is replaced by Hernand, and asked who else is still in the first area.

For some the scale is the main virtue. For others it is a reason to start carefully, because finishing an adventure of this size is hard.
