The Phantom Liberty funds will no longer be moved to another game

On the same day the fundraiser passed one million, GamesVoice changed the fallback. Earlier the studio said that if CD Projekt Red objected and the dub was cancelled, the money would go to a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas dub. That option is now withdrawn: what has been raised will go to Phantom Liberty.

Sergei Animisov's gift of 250,000 rubles was noted separately. The wording sounds as if the project will not be closed even if the rights holder objects.

That is an important clarification for donors. The destination is no longer floating. The legal risk has not vanished: permission from CD Projekt still has not appeared.

The studio is in effect promising to carry the recording through to a release regardless.
