A blinking lamp in Control Resonant spells Barry Wheeler’s return in Morse

Players have found a lamp in Control Resonant that blinks in Morse code, and the message changes with the run. On a first playthrough the flashes spell Death of the Author. In New Game+ they spell Barry Wheeler Will Return.

Barry is Alan Wake’s old friend and literary agent, a familiar face from Remedy’s earlier games. The second line has people wondering whether he shows up in the next part of that story.

Remedy has not announced Alan Wake 3, and it has not confirmed that Barry is coming back. For now the lamp is a hint inside Resonant, not a statement about a sequel.
