Crimson Desert will not ship with official mod tools

Will Powers said Pearl Abyss has not decided whether Crimson Desert will get official mod tools. None are planned for launch.

The studio has only started the internal discussion. It wants to answer after release, once it can see whether players actually want user-made content.

He tied the caution to BlackSpace: a stable toolset for modders is a project of its own, and the team is still finishing the game and its performance. The studio also spent years on online games, where mods are usually not part of the design.
