Ikarashi hunted season-two locations with a camera inside the game

Bartosz Sztybor told GamesRadar+ that Trigger's animators looked for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners season-two locations with a virtual camera inside Cyberpunk 2077. Director Kai Ikarashi literally walked the city in the game.

Sztybor says Trigger knows the game better than he does, and that he does not write specific addresses into the script: the studio will find the shot. He compares Ikarashi on that search to Roman, the newcomer with a camera in the new season.

Season one on Netflix already included the Afterlife, Tom's Diner, and Megabuilding H4. Season two is supposed to go further, so viewers will be able to recognize corners and storefronts.

The Netflix premiere is 20 October. The city in the series this time is assembled not from storyboard memory, but from a walk in the RPG itself.
