DrakeCummings's mother beat Margit in a day and 240 deaths

Streamer DrakeCummings tested an old dilemma on himself. He locked himself in a homemade cell and promised to come out only after his mother beat Margit. The broadcast was titled "Locked In A Jail Cell Till My Mom Beats Margit."

Saved stats say the challenge started on 13 September and lasted about a day. Margit is one of the first major story bosses, but for someone who does not know the game that was enough for 240 deaths and about 24 hours.

The streamer was not silent behind the bars. He told his mother what to do, and later said that without those tips the wait would have run even longer. The condition was softer than the original joke: not all of Elden Ring, but one boss at the gate.

The dilemma itself has been around Reddit for a long time. One version offered ten years against waiting until your mother finished the whole game. A three-year version spread later. Even cut down to Margit, the experiment took DrakeCummings a full day.
