Sega is aiming for about another million CrossWorlds copies by 31 March 2027
On 3 February 2026 Sega’s earnings report set a fresh target for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: roughly another million copies before the 2026 financial year ends on 31 March 2027. At the investor briefing, Sega Sammy Holdings group CFO Koichi Fukuzawa noted that shipments had already passed one million and that the racer had been received warmly.
Opening sales still missed the internal forecast. Post-launch support is staying in place: new downloads are meant to keep people in the game longer and to pick up sales after release. Fukuzawa’s point was short: the million is real, the launch estimate was not met, and about another million is the aim for the financial year, carried by long support.
The million-copy mark was passed in October 2025. Director Masaru Kobayakawa had already said, by February, that extra content for 2026 was in development and that those updates should catch players off guard. The game is on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
