Josh Sawyer backed revising the story after release
Josh Sawyer, who led Fallout: New Vegas, backed Pearl Abyss’s decision to revise Crimson Desert’s story after launch. He does not call it ideal, but he thinks it is better than admitting errors and doing nothing. Studios, he says, patch balance for years and rarely touch the narrative.
The story in the note is the weak side next to the world, the combat and the image: disjointed events and a weak link between them. The expectation is a better presentation, different reactions from Kliff to important scenes, and a more whole history. The studio has not given details.
Weekly updates with content, and work on expansions, continue alongside that. For a single-player game, revising the narrative after release is still a rare step.
