Newman, Hanssen and Scudamore voice the three leads

Crimson Desert is the first Pearl Abyss game with three playable leads. Kliff, leader of the Greymane mercenaries, is voiced by Alec Newman, known for Adam Smasher in Cyberpunk 2077. He worked on the role for nearly five years and said he had never played anyone that long. He based the voice on his wife’s late stepfather: danger alongside warmth and loyalty.

Damian is voiced by Rebecca Hanssen, the voice of Eve in Stellar Blade. She described the part as a release from people-pleasing: a direct character who says what she thinks and does what she believes is right. Oonga, a quiet orc, is voiced by Stuart Scudamore, Rictus in Arcane. He treats the silences as chosen words, not missing emotion.

Switching heroes changes the view of one story, not only the fighting style. Will Powers had already said that lead characters and side-quest characters were recorded by actors, without generative voices.
