Crimson Desert review codes are planned a month out

Will Powers, who handles review copies at Pearl Abyss, said at New Game+ that the studio plans to send Crimson Desert codes about a month before launch. In an interview that was later taken down, he put it plainly: reviewers need that long just to play the game.

He gave two reasons. He wants critics to spend real time in Pywel, and he does not want a crowded release calendar to force them to drop one game for another. A rushed review, he said, helps neither the team nor readers.

He still thinks the game is easier to enjoy if nobody is racing a deadline. Launch remains 19 March 2026 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
