A swarm of insects on a hill drops PS5 Pro to 30 frames

In Digital Foundry’s PlayStation 5 Pro analysis, a location the discussion named Bumpy Hill stood out. A war is underway there, and hundreds of mechanical insects fill the sky. When the reviewer ran from the swarm, the counter in performance mode fell to 30 frames even on Pro.

The place was immediately compared with Blighttown from the first Dark Souls: that maze on PS3 and Xbox 360 also dropped the frame rate, sometimes to 12–15. Jokes about the hill appeared before ordinary players could reach it.

The text dates the global release to the night of 20 March. It does not measure how the same spot behaves on PC.
