More than 100,000 people were playing on Steam at once

Cyberpunk 2077 passed 100,000 concurrent Steam players for the first time in several years. The peak was 101,558 people, the highest figure since December 2023. An ordinary day for the RPG holds about 20,000 to 30,000.

The 2020 launch remains one of the harshest in the industry's memory. The current number was built by years of patches and by Phantom Liberty, with the nearest push coming from a discount and anime news.

One hundred thousand in the sixth year is not launch fever. It is the return of people who already own the game.

For a single-player project, that concurrency means Night City is in the feed again, not only in the library.
