A Witcher 3 mod turns every griffin into the low-poly meme pigeon

Modder grapedia released a joke modification for The Witcher 3 called Low-Poly Pigeon — The Revenge. Every griffin in the game is replaced by the famous blocky pigeon, and the creature sounds become cooing.

Those low-poly birds in the Wild Hunt sky started as simplified models. From far away the player was only meant to see a dark shape, which saved performance. Up close the pigeon was too recognizable, and it became one of the game's main memes.

The author frames the mod as payback from a bird the internet mocked for years: a tiny body, a blank stare, and almost no polygons. That pigeon now takes the griffin's place.
