Hotfix 1.4.2 unblocks Control Resonant quests that could not be finished

On 8 October Remedy published hotfix 1.4.2 for Control Resonant. It closes faults that froze particular missions, plus a handful of smaller bugs.

In The House in Distress, Zoe could vanish and stop the story. After the boss fight with the Artist, opening the menu immediately could trap the player in the Gap if they had not used the ability-choice hint. Late in one mission, Basken could not be asked about Underhill. The side quest Every Dog Has Her Day failed to hand over its artifact; the reward should appear now — the studio adds, unless the dog already ate it — including for players who finished the quest and have not started New Game+.

Firebreaker, the character you are meant to protect, no longer stands still and refuses to move. Burning no longer deals extra damage to Dylan when the Wallet artifact is in use and energy runs out. Ranger state resets properly again during escort missions.
