IGN criticizes suspicious art, and the post went out through Sprout Social
After the 19 March 2026 launch, social feeds filled with Crimson Desert paintings, signs and frescoes that showed extra fingers, broken horse legs and odd sword perspective. IGN joined the criticism and wrote about generative images.
Readers noticed a Sprout Social mark under the outlet’s post on X. That service can assemble text, pick a time and watch engagement, including with language models. That is where the rebuke comes from: a criticism of generative tools went out through a tool that uses them.
Pearl Abyss had not officially addressed the art by then. The Steam page still had no generative-content disclosure. The note does not prove which tool painted the frescoes.
