Multiplayer and DLC for Crimson Desert depend on demand

In its fourth-quarter 2025 report, Pearl Abyss said strong demand could bring Crimson Desert downloadable content and even a full multiplayer mode. The line came from the earnings call.

The project began as an MMO and became a single-player action game. For several years multiplayer was barely mentioned. The studio has not dropped the idea, but it wants the story campaign finished first.

The same update blamed the long production partly on building the BlackSpace Engine in parallel. The report gave no dates for either the add-on or the online mode.
