After 10,000 Steam reviews, Crimson Desert is at 57% and arguing about controls

The Steam peak for Crimson Desert passed 239,000 and put the game sixth among the store’s popular titles. After the first 10,000 reviews the rating sat at 57 percent, which is Mixed.

The main complaint is the controls. Looting and talking take extra steps: to start a conversation one button is held and only then another is pressed. On a pad the response is called poor. Some players wrote that they refunded almost immediately. On PlayStation 5, with 120 Hz enabled, the image can be forced down to 1080p. To keep sharpness, that console option is what people are told to turn off.

The player count and the reviews diverge in this note. The technical start is strong. The judgment of the controls is not.
