Eleven years on, The Witcher 3 still scores above 90 with critics

The original The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt came out in 2015. New editions and new platforms followed, and 2026 brought the remaster. Radek Grabowski, CD Projekt RED's global PR director, lined the scores for those versions up together and called the eleven-year run a strong one.

On the chart, the original sits at 93 on PC, 92 on PS4, and 91 on Xbox One. Complete Edition reached 94 on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and 85 on Nintendo Switch. The remaster: 93 on PC from 12 reviews, 94 on Xbox Series X from 5, 90 on PS5 from 5, and 92 on Nintendo Switch 2 from 9.

The new version's sample is small, which the review counts make obvious. Grabowski closed the comparison with a short thanks to people who are still playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Scores above 90, eleven years and several console generations later, are the bar the studio is holding itself against.
