Two weeks on, Crimson Desert is still first among paid games on Steam
More than two weeks after release, Crimson Desert still holds the top of paid Steam sales. The studio says the total is above 4 million, half of it in less than a day. At launch there were more than 240,000 concurrent players, and a week later a new record. Last weekend there were still more than 200,000 at once. On overall revenue only the free Counter-Strike 2 is higher.
User scores reached very positive on the patches and on the fact that hundreds of hours do not close even half the map.
The mixed critic start is not cancelled in this note. The commercial result and the held concurrency sit apart from it.
