Schreier: Crimson Desert’s game-of-the-year odds fell from 30% to 5%
Jason Schreier noted that on Kalshi the chance of Crimson Desert winning game of the year fell from 30 percent early in the month to 5. The only higher figure then was Grand Theft Auto VI, at 45 percent.
He wrote on Bluesky that he spent a few hours in the game and stopped: boring and soulless, like a product for people who want to “consume content.” He asks that this be read with the caveat of a short session. Jesse Norris of DayOne replied that after 115 hours he understands the complaint and still disagrees.
The post drew both support and objections. Schreier did not stay for a long argument and answered briefly. The Kalshi figures are a market of expectations, not jury votes.
