Dune: Awakening added another million players after the console launch

On 6 October 2026 Funcom said that within a few days of the console release Dune: Awakening had gained another million players. The studio thanked people for the interest and for taking part in the community.

The console launch arrived with the largest update the game had received so far, on every platform. Survival on Arrakis is no longer limited to PC: it is also on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Funcom did not break the million down by platform. The studio presents the jump itself as a strong console start, and the move to consoles clearly widened the audience.

Steam had a 50 percent discount over the same stretch. The sale ran until 8 October.
